憧れのベニス/ Venice, Santa Lucia

ベニスの玄関口、サンタルチア駅にバスで到着すると、そこには別世界が。絵画の世界、絵本の世界へ入り込んだようだ。しばらく周りを見渡し、ため息をつく。目の前にある景色の色合いが違う！歴史あるドーム型の聖堂、そこを流れる運河。地元の人や観光客を運ぶ水上バス。さっそくホテルへ向かう。ベニス内のホテルに変更してよかった。

I arrived at the gateway to Venice, Santa Lucia Station. It felt as if I were in a totally different world with a bright colors surrounding me. I headed for my hotel, which was a few-minute's walk. Booking at a hotel inside the island of Venice paid off. I had first booked a hotel on the mainland, and later cancelled it. I would have needed to commute to Venice by bus or train every day!
